With its Fluid Summer collection, Playboy collaborated with artist Slimesunday to make its first foray into NFTs last spring. The new key to a Playboy Club, Rabbits give access to special events, products, and artwork for Playboy Club members.
“Rabbits” Is The Name Of The New Playboy Nft Project.
In the spring of 2014, Playboy collaborated with Slimesunday to create the Liquid Summer NFT collection. Rabbits, an ambitious new NFT initiative inspired by Playboy’s iconic bunny emblem, is the company’s follow-up to their initial collection, which sold out in under three minutes.
By offering 11,593 “Rabbits,” Playboy will honor its debut year 1953. The background color, fur, eyeglasses, and other props are all given to each 3-dimensional cartoon rabbit character, making them all one-of-a-kind. Playboy Club members have unique access to events, clothing, and artwork thanks to the “Rabbits,” which are modern-day keys. The corporation has made it plain that it intends to keep expanding into the area of NFTs, blockchain, and Web3 in the future.
If you want one, you may buy it for 0.1953 ETH ($730 USD) just on Playboy Rabbitars site on October 26.
There are 11,953 distinct non-fungible rabbits in the Playboy Rabbitars’ “lagomorphic-themed civilization,” says the revelation.
Ethereum Blockchain is where Rabbitars dwell in the metaverse. In addition to their hair, ears, facial expressions, and clothing, Rabbits have more than 175 other features to choose from.
The project’s website provides an immersive setting in which each NFT’s ultimate goal can be found. “The metaverse contains countless worlds. Known as the Rabbits, this unusual species of rabbit is known as the Rabbits in Leveretia, where it is prevalent because of its exceptional speed and cunning, as well as its cultural sophistication and its razor-sharp wit.”
There are also certain Rabbitar with characteristics influenced by Playboy’s artistic and editorial history, which are extremely unique in the world of bunnies.
Currently, the “Rabbits” are currently key to a Playboy Club, which grants members access to events, merchandising, and artworks only available to Playboy members. Notify, blockchain, and Web3 will also be a part of the project’s future.
Playboy has been around for a while in the realm of NFTs. It collaborated with artist Slimesunday on the Liquid Summer line last spring, which sold out in less than three minutes.

NFTs on the “Art of Gender and Sexuality” Are Being Minted by Playboy
Non-fungible token (NFT) collection to commemorate Playboy’s editorial ideas of sexuality and gender, free expression, equality, and pleasure were announced Wednesday by the company.
All 50 winning applications for each series will be selected by Playboy in cooperation with the Sevens Society, a non-profit that assists digital artists to make and exhibiting NFTs.
To begin the series, “The Art of Sexuality and Gender,” submissions begin now and expire on Oct. 1. The winning artists’ work will be on display during the NFT.NYC conference in November.
As far as we know, this is not Playboy’s first excursion into the NFT market.
Lenna Sjööblom, known as the “First Lady of the Internet,” was the subject of an NFT collection by Slimesunday in May, which featured vintage photos of the Playboy model.
It was announced in August that Playboy has published articles about how to manufacture NFTs for artists, as well as a timeline of the brand’s NFT collection, which began in March with Beeple’s “Bull Run.”
The Crypto-Journey Of Playboy
As far back as 2018, Playboy Video began taking bitcoin payments for subscriptions. Playboy.com began accepting bitcoin payments in June.
According to Playboy’s vice chairman of art selection and editorial, the censorship-resistant brand’s interest in cryptocurrency and NFTs is a logical extension of its almost 70-year history of defying authority.
In the words of Suman, “We’ve always been a location that encourages art in sometimes contentious ways.” As one researcher put it, “We see NFTs as the future frontier of creative expression.”
Eleven thousand five hundred and fifty-three Playboy Rabbits live in a lagomorphic-themed civilization inspired by Playboy imagery, legacy, and lore. They are NFTs that exist in a metaverse as ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum Blockchain. More than 175 attributes, comprising fur, ears, facial gestures, and clothing and accessories, are used to create each Rabbit. Rabbit’s most esoteric traits were influenced by important moments in Playboy’s visual and editorial history. It’s okay to tell your buddies you’re a member of the Playboy Club now, too!
Rabbits, Here We Come!
The metaverse contains multiple worlds. Leverett is home to a rare type of rabbit called the Rabbitars who are renowned for their wit, quickness, cultural sophistication, and, in certain cases, sexual prowess. They are the dominant species in this one.
Playboy has released 11,953 bunny avatars, and Martha Stewart has created NFTs.
While Martha Stewart and Coinbase have entered the NFT market with Halloween-themed collectibles, Playboy is releasing 11,953 unique bunnies NFTs and Coinbase have revealed its first four NFT creators partners.
Release Of Tokenized Bunnies In The Wild By Playboy
The nonfungible token (NFT) concept with 11,953 distinct 3D animated bunny avatars was unveiled by PLBY Group Inc., the owners of Playboy, a raunchy lifestyle magazine.
The tokens will act as “keys to a redesigned Playboy Club,” giving their holders access to special events, content, and goods, according to a statement made on Wednesday. The number of NFTs honors Playboy’s founding year of 1953.
Sunday marks the beginning of the Ethereum-based NFTs’ pre-sale period, which ends on Tuesday. The following day, two public sales begin one for clients purchasing with US dollars, another for those buying with Ether (ETH).
Sales will be placed on an official “Playboy Rabbit” website, with NFTs costing the equivalent of 0.1953 ETH or $814 USD. VP of blockchain at PLBY Group Jamal Dauda said:
As a result of the Rabbitars, Playboy has entered the world of actual blockchain-based membership. In the same way that millions of Playboy Club members were given the opportunity to experience the Playboy brand’s affluent lifestyle, NFTs may do that and so much more.”
You can’t buy a single CryptoPunk
CryptoPunk #6046’s tokenized punk avatar just turned down an offer of 2,500 ETH from the token’s owner.
If accepted, this would have been the biggest CryptoPunk sale to date, at almost $10.5 million. In March, CryptoPunk #3100 sold for $7.58 million, according to Larva Labs.
The CryptoPunk #6046 NFT, which portrays a man smoking a cigarette while wearing 3D sunglasses, was purchased by Twitter user Richerd for $83,209 at the time of purchase.
In Richerd’s telling, the big deal came about after they had publicly said that they would not buy the CryptoPunk, no matter how successful it was offered. Etherscan shows an offer of 2,500 ETH from a business known as “Pop,” which wanted to test that notion.
Richerd, come on. You want to be known as the most successful CryptoPunk sale ever?” Teased by Pop,
Aware that their “mid-tier punk” isn’t worth 2,500 Ethereum, Richerd rebuffed the offer, saying that they wouldn’t accept anything less than $1 billion for the NFT because of its emotional significance.
As with other great Punks and monkeys, my identification is worth outside the NFT. There is value in our own brands, just like any other brand. My brand image and personality are important to me, thus this was a simple rejection for me to swallow.”
The art form is a natural progression for Playboy, which has always pushed the limit with regards to new kinds of art! VP of Art Selection and Editorial Liz Suman, Playboy’s Liz Suman, said.
A Miami style was requested as well as Playboy’s iconic emblem and the ever-changing cryptocurrency landscape. “I wanted the designers to explore three compelling themes pertinent to Playboy’s past, present, and future,” she continued.
Even before televisions, much alone computers and tablets phones were commonplace household goods in December of 1953, Playboy was able to adapt to new forms of art and innovations as they were developed. To its credit, it has demonstrated a willingness to stir up controversy and stimulate debate. With sales of $2.5 billion in NFTs in the first six months of 2021, it makes sense to enter this market.
Using the Rabbitars, Playboy appears to be constructing a story and world around them, which includes what appears to be the exclusive NFT community, similar to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and a virtual mansion for Playboy himself.
Since Playboy was founded in 1953, the actual quantity of NFTs is a nod to that year’s founding year, and the coins would be more than another JPG choice for symmetric encryption Twitter profiles. You can get unique access to events, material, and goods by using your NFT as “keys to a redesigned Playboy Club.”
According to the press release, “The Rabbits are a rare breed of rabbit noted for their exceptional speed, invested in improving, a razor-sharp wit, matchless intelligence, amazing sense of fashion, and in certain cases, sexual prowess.”.
More than 175 possible attributes, comprising fur, facial features, ears and headwear, clothing, accessories, occupation-related characteristics, and more, will be used to create each Rabbit character. The collection’s rarest NFTs will have traits influenced by “important pieces of Playboy’s aesthetic and editorial heritage,” with Playboy insignia gracing every piece.
A bunny dressed in Hef’s smoking jacket is the most sought-after Rabbit, right?
Until when?
According to these American timezone dates, the pre-sale for taken offline investors for the Eths NFT collection starts on October 24 and ends on October 26. The next day, 2 public sales will take place — one for USD clients and the other for those who want to sell some ETH.
Providing precise dates and times based on an actual local time would be great, but we can’t seem to locate such information. Keep an open mind and a keen ear out for it.
