For Digital Art Collectibles, Gretzky Collaborates With Brady’s NFT Platform.
A sequence of releases through DraftKings Markets and Signature, a Nutrient film technique founded by NFL QB Tom Brady, brings Wayne Gretzky NFT game.
When Upper Deck’s “The Great One” digital art pieces originally went on sale on Tuesday, it launched the second batch of even rarer works on Friday. Additionally, those who purchase a selection of Autograph merchandise enjoy VIP access to the company’s Discord network and future drops.
Having the first Autograph NFTs, or quasi tokens, on sale in Canada was a central selling point for Gretzky’s Autograph collection.
He added in a press release, “I’m excited to get inside the NFT area and extend into Canada, allowing fans to interact with brilliant scenes from my sports career in new, creative ways,” Gretzky said. It is an honor to work with and advise Autograph on streamlining the collecting experience for new and long-time collectors alike. I am dedicated to sharing and expanding the game for all hockey enthusiasts.
However, Autograph’s NFTs are purchasable on the DraftKings Markets and come with a fixed price and limited supply. So far, Gretzky’s digital art collection has included works ranging in price from $12 – $1500. There is a color-coded system for identifying the rarity of a given item. A few examples include 5,000 Carbon Premiers for $12 each, 376 Rose Premiers for $100 one per, 50 Diamond Signed items for $500 each, & 12 Ruby Signature pieces for $1500 each.
And, Like Traditional Works Of Art Like Paintings, Their Value May Rise In The Future.
In addition to Gretzky, golfer Tiger Woods & tennis player Victoria Osaka serve as advisors to Autograph.
A part of Autograph’s Advisory Committee, Gretzky says he hopes to provide hockey fans and collectors “the chance to own and participate with great moments from my sports career in a new and novel way” through email. “It’s a great way to get new and long-time hockey fans excited about the sport and the history of the sport.”
