    The North American team.

Similar to every other Dota 2 region, the NA DPC Regional Qualifiers will start in just a few days.

2020 was a really bad year for the North American Dota 2 scene because there were hardly any tournaments. As a result, some of the best teams from the region were forced to compete in other regions, such as Europe. One of those teams is Evil Geniuses, a team among the best Dota 2 teams in the last couple of years.

Luckily, the team decided to return to NA, which is why it is no surprise they received a direct invitation to the DPC Regional League.

    The Invited Teams

    🚨Closed Qualifier Info:🚨
    – January 7-10
    – Matches @ 12:00 & 15:00 PST
    – 4 Invited Teams
    – 4 Open Qualifier Slots
    – Double Elimination Bracket
    – Top 4 advance to Division 1
    – 4 Eliminated teams advance to Division 2

    Good luck NA teams!

Similar to every other region in Dota, NA will have a total of 16 teams fighting in the Upper and Lower divisions. Four of them receive a direct invitation for the Upper Division, which means that they won’t have to go through the qualifiers.

In addition to Evil Geniuses, the other directly-invited teams are Quincy Crew, 4 Zoomers, and SADBOYS. The invitation of the last team on this list was definitely surprising, even though this team has two TI champions in it. Clinton “Fear” Loomis, Peter “ppd” Dager, and their teammates finished third in the BTS Pro Series Season 3.

Besides those four teams, there will be four more that will move to the Upper Division via the closed qualifiers. If you need more information about them, make sure to follow ESTNN.
