Mushi - A legendary SEA player.

Mushi, who is one of the most legendary SEA Dota 2 players, joined a new SEA Dota 2 team.

Last year was not the best for the SEA Dota 2 scene. Even though there were a few interesting online tournaments, most teams were unable to compete in some of the biggest events of the year.

Luckily, 2021 looks like it will be an amazing year. Besides the upcoming DPC, we’ve also learned that there is a new SEA Dota 2 team, Team SMG. It was created by JJ Lin, who is a famous Singaporean singer.

The newest Dota 2 team in SEA will include some of the best players in the region. JJ Lin happens to be a huge gaming fan, which is why his organization called Team Still Moving under Gunfire has various rosters in Arena of Valor, PUBG, and even Mobile Legends.

SMG will take part in the upcoming DPC qualifiers that start in just a few days. Besides Chai “Mushi” Yee and Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross, the team will also include:

    • Cheng “vtFaded” Jia Hao
    • Nea “Neah666” Campbell
    • Tue “ah fu” Soon Chuan

The first big challenge for the roster will be in the Closed Qualifiers that start on January 4. If SMG succeeds there, they will advance to the Upper Division. There, they will have to compete against the likes of Fnatic, T1, Boom Esports, and TNC Predator.
