Speed Keto® is a keto diet program that mixes the fast-acting fat burning properties of both keto and intermittent fasting to help you lose weight quickly and safely. This interview will introduce Jen, a teacher and young mother of three children, as we follow her Speed Keto journey.
Hello Jen! Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Jen: Hello! My name is Jen. I teach full classes of adorable little 5-year olds every year, and I have three kids myself!
And how has your health been like these past couple of years?
Jen: Before Speed Keto? Well, it wasn’t the best, that’s for sure. Just from an energy standpoint, I feel like I’ve been tired my whole life. In fact, I’d say I was running off coffee more than honest to god energy for a while there.
When did you start Speed Keto and how often have you done it?
Jen: The first time I tried Speed Keto was roughly a year ago. In the beginning I used it solely as a weight loss solution. But, even now, after reaching my weight goals, I still use what I learned from the program, as well as the meal plans, recipes, and other little goodies included in the SK package, to maintain my current weight and continually improve my mental and physical health!
What was your weight loss experience like on Speed Keto? And, have your goals changed since you started the diet, or have they stayed the same?
Jen: My first 4 months of Speed Keto equaled to a total of 40lbs lost! An incredibly exciting thing for me, of course. But, even more exciting, I’ve managed to keep that weight off by practicing Speed Keto intermittently in the last six months (yay!!)
My original goal with Speed Keto was really just to reach the weight that would be considered normal for my height. And, now that I’ve done that, all I want to do is make sure that I don’t fall back into bad habits. After all, I have to make sure to set a good example for my kids and my students when it comes to their health and their lifestyle!
Can you tell us a little about your Speed Keto experience? Was it easy for you? Or did you find the diet program difficult?
Jen: Oh, I thought it was overwhelming at first. I remember looking at the meal plan included and just cringing when I looked at the days that were marked as ‘fasting.’ I had never tried intermittent fasting before, and it wasn’t a very attractive concept to me. But, after months of hesitation, and just doing it, I found that it was actually not as bad as I thought! The experience got even better after I made a couple of friends on the Speed Keto Facebook Group. My friends taught me how to take it slow, and how to heed the extra options in the book that taught you how to set small goals.
And that there just about describes my overall experience really. It was slow, but steady progress. I’d do my best to reach my small goals and push it just that slightest bit more each time. And then rinse and repeat! All the while, I kept in close contact with my friends on the Speed Keto FB group, so I could talk to them about our progress, our lives, our goals, and just about everything else in between.
Is Speed Keto a diet that you would recommend to others? Why or why not?
Jen: It’s something to recommend, definitely! I’ve already done so numerous times, and I’m not about to stop any time soon. I wholly believe that everyone should try it! I regret not having tried it sooner, actually. I sat on the program for months. Literal months! And I regret having done so. I don’t want others to have to feel that same regret.
What advice would you give to someone interested in trying Speed Keto?
Jen: Don’t hold off on trying it because of some rotten excuse. Don’t wait until the holidays, or until New Year’s, or after your birthday, or whenever else. Do it now.
It still gets to me sometimes how I could have been feeling so much better, both physically and mentally if I had just bit the bullet and jumped into it when I first learned of it. I could have lost those 40lbs sooner! So, yeah. My advice? Remember that tomorrow is not promised. So… do what you can today, and don’t put it off for another day.
